Neymar Set For Return to Brazil with Santos

Santos president Marcelo Teixeira has revealed the Brazilian club are preparing a lucrative offer to bring Neymar back to his boyhood club next summer.

The 32-year-old Al-Hilal star, sidelined for four to six weeks with his latest injury setback, has been linked with an exit from the Saudi Pro League club as early as January 2025.

Teixeira confirmed Santos’ interest, telling Estadao: “We have a connection with his family and the athlete. We monitor, follow up, and have a concrete project that we’ve already discussed a few times.”

Neymar’s tumultuous stint with Al-Hilal has been marred by injuries, including a lengthy ACL layoff. The former Barcelona’s player potential return to Santos, where he began his career, could offer a fresh start.

Santos’ promotion back to the Brazilian Serie A on Monday provides a financial boost, potentially paving the way for Neymar’s signing. However, Teixeira cautioned: “We can’t make hypothetical assumptions. If he cancels his contract, if he becomes free, we’ll consider our options.”
